The huge Pan Pacific Nirwana is located in a quiet area on
the southwest coast of Bali, the fabled
island of Indonesia. It is an oasis of serenity. Arriving guests
are announced by the ringing of a gong and walk up the steps to the open-air
lobby that looks out to the sea. It is a great beginning to a great stay. There is no reason to leave the integrated
resort.

Accommodations are well-appointed with a balcony that offers
a view of the sea and pool. Guests can choose to dine in several locations and
each evening they will enjoy sipping their favorite libation at the Sunset
Lounge while watching the sun sink into the
Indian Ocean.
The huge pool conforms to the landscape
with swimming areas on several levels that are accessed by steps or a water
slide. There were many private lounge areas, some shaded by frangipani trees. Golfers will enjoy the
18-hole Greg Norman
golf course with incredible views of the
Indian Ocean. Uniquely, instead of the traditional male
caddies there are caddy girls clad in light blue with rice paddy hats making
for a unique photo opportunity.
The
golf course is located next to working rice paddies where guests can learn the
different stages of rice growing and even try their hand at harvesting. Cooking
classes, relaxing spa treatments, and trips to local sites are also available. For
