The Gables Bed & Breakfast in Cobleskill, New York

Step back into an earlier time at The Gables Bed & Breakfast Inn.  The Gable consists of two Victorian-style homes in the heart of Cobleskill. Cobleskill is a lovely Main Street village in Schorarie County with quick access to many attractions including Howe Caverns and Cooperstown.

All the rooms are bright, cheerful and attractively decorated. Guests will appreciate the private bathroom, free Wi-fi, LCD cable TV, and other amenities. There is a choice of queen or king beds.  In the morning enjoy their fresh baked, award-wining muffins, homemade strawberry jam, and juice with tea or coffee. The jam is owner-made from local strawberries they personally picked.

After a day of exploring Schoharie County return to the Gables and walk down the street to Stewarts for some yummy ice cream.  Upon return relax in one of the rockers on the long porch.

The owners, John and Marilyn, are eager to help and offer
suggestions for things to see and do. Schoharie County is a wonderful step into the past – the way life used to be. Don’t miss Howe Caverns. It is truly an underground wonder. The Iroquois Indian Museum is just down the road form Howe Caverns. Visit the nearby Blenheim-Gilboa Power Project Visitor Center and the beautifully restored and
furnished Lansing Manor adjacent to the Visitor Center. Schoharie County with gentle rolling hills have historic home such as the amazing Dr. Best house in nearby Middleburgh. The Stone Fort Complex in Schoharie is another do-not-miss. It is home to a museum, law office, one-room school and other items dealing with the early days of the area.
